My name is Vincent McAteer, a lifelong resident of Greenwood Lake, NY and founder of RED CAP PROFESSIONAL HOME REPAIR.
My Father, Walter, was a DIY guy and my mentor for all aspects of construction, and life. While in my 30's I purchased and renovated several investment properties that I later turned into beautiful residential rentals.
I love construction and real estate, and the undeniable overlap between the two.
I'm also a licensed Real Estate Agent in NY and NJ, assisting local Buyers and Sellers with their real estate needs.

I recognized the need for a local & reliable home repair service many years ago.
My real estate clients often looked to me for referrals, and frankly, I wasn't comfortable with recommending just anyone.
The need was for someone reasonably priced and skilled enough to tackle everything from common household repairs to full kitchen & bathroom renovations, finished basements, etc.
I was exactly who they were looking for however, I wasn't established yet.
In short, I started RED CAP HOME REPAIR to satisfy the needs of my clients and the local community.
Putting my construction abilities to good use, I've been able to help family & friends, Sellers and Buyers alike, as well as my fellow colleagues and their clients.
